Part of The Shared History Project involves a commitment from organizations who are willing to host or sponsor an event. We have affiliated members (institutions and/or organizations) who pledge to support this project by hosting at least one workshop a year, facilitated by Dr. Deetz and/or her staff. Additionally, individuals can support our efforts through subscribing to our blog and attending our events. If you are a plantation or house museum and want to join the growing consortium of dedicated sites please contact Dr. Deetz directly with any questions you may have and/or to schedule an event. Dr. Deetz will work directly with you to design the ideal program to fit your specific needs. Once you become affiliated, your site will be listed on The Shared History Project page as a museum that is dedicated to open dialogues on shared history. After the event, Dr. Deetz will write a blog about the visit, and promote your site via social media.
